BRAZORIA COUNTY, TEXAS, June 15, 2009—SightLine Health participated in last week’s “Fiesta-Style” community health fair in Old Ocean, Texas. The fair was sponsored by Conoco Phillips and Chevron Phillips. SightLine Health provided free prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screenings. This simple blood test detects elevated levels of PSA which can indicate prostate cancer, a disease that can be very treatable if diagnosed early.
“Participating in local health fairs is part of our ongoing commitment to the communities we serve as well as a way of reaching out to lesser served areas,” reports SightLine’s Management Team. “If we can reach men who may not otherwise get screened, help those at risk get an early diagnosis, connect them with the best area physicians and provide them revolutionary new treatments, we can help ensure more men survive this disease.”
